Fortius PE will be running the Level 5 Certificate in Primary PE course in September 2022. This will be the eighth Level 5 course we have run and over the last 8 years we have trained over 40 teachers, TAs and sports coaches in delivering and supporting the delivery of high-quality PE in primary schools.
The Level 5 course runs over an academic year with 6 tutor days (part online/ part face-to-face) and then delegates have up to two more years to write up their file. The cost of the course is £1380 + VAT (£180 goes to Sports Leaders UK for registration).
The Level 5 is open to staff with QTS, experienced TA’s and sports coaches who have delivered and are delivering PE in primary schools.
On the course we cover high quality PE delivery, attitudes towards PE, curriculum mapping and units of work and assessment in PE. We cover a number of practical areas including fundamental movement skills, gymnastics and dance. The is course delivered through theory and practical sessions.
