Orienteering is an active outdoor adventure sport that challenges both the mind and the body. Finding points and making choices develops self belief, respect and teamwork. Boys and girls compete together. At this competition, your pupils will get some tuition of the basics before having a go – so no need to have practised beforehand (although it does help!)
Your team of 10 (no gender requirements) will have to navigate a mapped course to find a series of points. The team that achieves this the fastest wins!
Initially there is a limit of 1 team per school as there is a limit to how many teams we can get through in the morning.
You will be given an arrival time slot nearer the time.
The county final will be held in July.
