Level 5 Certificate in Primary School Physical Education
Fortius PE will be running the Level 5 Certificate in Primary PE course in September 2024 (written by the Association for PE). This will be the tenth Level 5 course we have run and over the last 8 years we have trained over 45 teachers, TAs and sports coaches in delivering and supporting the delivery of high-quality PE in primary schools.
The Level 5 course runs over an academic year with 6 tutor days (part online/ part face-to-face) and then delegates have up to two more years to write up their file. The cost of the course is £1480 + VAT (£180 goes to Sports Leaders UK for registration).
The Level 5 is open to staff with QTS, experienced TA’s and sports coaches who are delivering PE in primary schools. On the course we explore high quality PE, attitudes towards PE, curriculum mapping and units of work and assessment in PE. We cover a number of practical areas including fundamental movement skills, OAA, gymnastics and dance.

PE Subject Lead Meeting
Arkells Conference Centre, Swindon Wiltshire
We are holding our first PE Subject Lead meeting of the year on Tuesday 11 February 1pm-4pm at Arkells Conference Centre, Swindon SN2 7RU.
This first session will include an update on the PE Premium including navigating the digital form, which is compulsory to use this year. We will also look at national updates around the future path for PE following the change of government.
