Fortius PE will be running the Level 5 Certificate in Primary PE course in September 2023 (written by the Association for PE). This will be the ninth Level 5 course we have run and over the last 8 years we have trained over 45 teachers, TAs and sports coaches in delivering and supporting the delivery of high-quality PE in primary schools.
The Level 5 course runs over an academic year with 6 tutor days (part online/ part face-to-face) and then delegates have up to two more years to write up their file. The cost of the course is £1480 + VAT (£180 goes to Sports Leaders UK for registration).
The Level 5 is open to staff with QTS, experienced TA’s and sports coaches who are delivering PE in primary schools. On the course we explore high quality PE, attitudes towards PE, curriculum mapping and units of work and assessment in PE. We cover a number of practical areas including fundamental movement skills, OAA, gymnastics and dance.
