Level 5 Certificate in Primary Physical Education
Fortius PE will be running the Level 5 Certificate in Primary PE course in September 2025 (written by the Association for PE). This will be the eleventh Level 5 course we have run we have trained over 50 teachers, TAs and sports coaches in delivering and supporting the delivery of high-quality PE in primary schools.
The Level 5 course runs over an academic year with 6 tutor days (4 face to face/ 3 twilight) and then delegates have up to two more years to write up their file. The cost of the course is £1480 + VAT (£180 goes to the Leadership Foundation for registration).
The Level 5 is open to staff with QTS, experienced TA’s and sports coaches who are delivering PE in primary schools. On the course we explore high quality PE, attitudes towards PE, curriculum mapping and units of work and assessment in PE. We cover a number of practical areas including fundamental movement skills, OAA, gymnastics and dance.

This year we will be holding our 12th annual conference focussed specifically at primary school PE practitioners. Following delegate feedback, we are excited that this will be our best conference to date!

ECT / ECT+1-3 Developing Skills in Delivering High Quality Physical Education
This new course will focus on topping up the knowledge and skills of ECT’s/ ECT’s + 1-3 in delivering high quality physical education.
The course will be run in terms 3-5 (2.5 days), two days out of school, one theory and one practical day. The final half day will be spent with each delegate in their school with their class.
